Partnerships and Collabs: Memphis Keep Tennessee Beautiful x Sneaker Impact in November

For the entire month of November, Memphis residents can drop their gently worn sneakers off at any participating Boys and Girls Club. Keeping communities safe and clean does not stop at recycling trash and cleaning up litter. Keep Tennessee Beautiful said it will host a month-long sneaker drive to encourage recycling, finding a creative way to keep sneakers out of landfills one donation at a time.

Memphis may be the home of Nike distribution, but in November it becomes home to a partnership seeking to educate Memphians on the importance of recycling sneakers. A partnership with the Keep Tennessee Beautiful campaign is spreading Sneaker Impact’s message of extending the life of sneakers:

“It is our mission to educate and inspire Tennesseans to take action daily to improve and beautify their community environment,†Missy Marshall, executive director of KTnB said. “Encouraging recycling, with a direct, monetary benefit to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Memphis, lines up perfectly with our passion and community-driven mission.â€

There will also be a campus-wide sneaker drive at the University of Memphis. Anyone who wishes to donate can drop off their used shoes at the University Center on the first floor on November 9, 16 and November 30.

Sneaker Impact is always looking to work with organization to increase the donation of sneakers. If you’d like to work with us in a similar capacity, don’t hesitate to contact us.
